With 3400 lumen and a powerful long-distance battery, Free Action 3400 performs during long sessions – whether it’s ski touring, enduro and downhill biking or night orienteering. The headlamp features a sleek, cordless design and a modular construction, meaning you can customize it for more activities by adding a lamp unit, battery or mount.

Maximum brightness and excellent burn time
Free Action 3400 delivers a powerful 3400-lumen light for technical terrain at high speed when ski touring, downhill biking or night orienteering. The long-distance M battery (36 Wh) provides excellent burn time for long sessions. When entering darker and more technical sections – like deep forest trails, steep descents or narrow paths – Speed Mode provides an instant brightness boost so you can keep your pace with confidence.

The battery also features a power bank function, allowing you to charge your phone, watch or bike computer via USB-C. The lamp has a cordless design with an included extension cable that lets you place the battery in your pocket or backpack. You can also add the Free Helmet Mount Kit to attach the lamp to your helmet, or the Free Bar Mount Kit to mount it on the handlebars.

Focus and speed with Speed Mode
The lamp features 4 brightness levels, including Speed Mode that gives you a quick boost of brightness with a short press from Max mode. The lamp then increases light output when cooling from wind, speed or cold air is sufficient, and the function can run for up to 50 minutes depending on lamp, battery and cooling. A brief flash confirms activation. Since Speed Mode shortens burn time, switch back when you no longer need the extra power.

Airflow Technology ensures efficient cooling and sustained performance, and with Silva Intelligent Light – our unique combination of a long-reach spotlight and close floodlight – you get stable visibility, good overview and confidence at higher speeds.

Silva Free – more freedom with the world’s first modular headlamp
Silva Free is the world’s first modular headlamp series with integrated cables in the headband for greater comfort and flexibility. The modular design makes it easy to swap Lamp units, batteries or mounts depending on activity. The series won the ISPO Award 2023 for its innovative and user-friendly design.

Upgrade your Free for more activities
Since all parts in the modular Free series are interchangeable, you can easily adapt your Free for more activities by adding a Lamp unit instead of buying another headlamp. Choose between four Lamp units, five batteries, two headbands and mounting kits for helmet, bike or GoPro.
